Curtis James Carlton Senior
Curtis Senior began playing guitar at 7 years old influenced by Eric Clapton and the styles of Steve Vai, John Sykes and Neil schon. He bought his first guitar in the shape of a Fender strat and his collection carried on growing from vintage guitars to limited editions but he names Fret King and Ibanez as his main manufacturers. At only 10 years old he made his first public appearance as guest guitarist with rock super group 'Nazareth' which inspired him to form his own band 'Enchanted'. Enchanted went on to support David Coverdale's mighty Whitesnake and Wishbone ash on their European tours. Curtis Wrote his first album in 1997 entitled 'The beginning' and a second 'Raging Fires' quickly followed. He released two singles through 'Lemon Media' one of which was used on a car advert in Nashville, America. The band eventually disbanded and Curtis began to play as a session musician in various band line-ups. He toured as lead guitarist with Rock supergroup 'The Word' and was eventually snapped up as lead guitarist for several touring Theatre shows including 'The Meat Loaf Story' and 'The 4 tops'. He then met partner, now wife, Kerry and formed Ghost rock show. This show successfully toured Internationally for 10 years with successful performances across the UK as well as in
Las Vegas, Spain, Eilat and Dubai.
Curtis possesses a natural flair for performing and his outstanding stage presence has made him well established in the music industry as an excellent lead Vocalist Guitarist, Bass player and teacher. His qualifications include a Level 6 Rockschool Teaching licentiate, Btec National Diploma , Btec Extended Certificate and Grade 8 in Guitar, Bass & Vocals. Curtis also holds a Grade 5 in Drums.
In 2009 Curtis and his wife opened the Ghost academy of performing arts in the Costa Blanca, Spain. This centre quickly gained Edexcel, British Theatre Dance Association and Rockschool music centre approval to offer recognized qualifications in dance, drama and music. The Academy recenty opened as East Midlands Performing Arts Academy back in the UK, where Curtis is Head Of Music.
The Year 2016 Curtis was on the road with Final Warning a 4 piece modern rock band where he is frontman and lead guitarist, he also just took the role of musical instrument specialist examiner for the international music exam board Rockschool Ltd.
Curtis is also a KeyPlayer endorsing artiste for Fret King and Vintage guitars, alongside such artistes as Gordon Giltrap, John Etheridge, Thomas Blug and Geoff Whitehorn to name a few, and currently uses the Fret-King Country Squire Classic FKV2VW.
He is also an endorsed artiste with Zilla Cabs, Matrix Amplification, Fractal Audio and Westone Audio.
In 2021 Curtis is now MD and Guitarist for all Carlton Entertainments touring theatre shows, which includes George Michael Live, Strong Enough, Celine-My Heart Will Go On, Nearly Elton and Guitar Godz.
